When you hire someone to build your website or run your marketing, the real question is simple: can I trust this person with my project? On Internetivo, the answer does not rest on a star rating or a nicely written profile. It rests on three things: what a professional has actually delivered, who they actually are, and the fact that Internetivo, the company you buy from, stays responsible for the work.
This article explains each of those checks honestly, including where they happen and what they do not cover.
What you see before you hire
When you post a task, professionals send you proposals with their price. For each applicant you see their name and their profile. You do not see their e-mail address. That applies however the application reached you.
A professional is shown as a person, by their first name. If they work within an organisation, such as an agency or a team, you may also see the organisation's name, but only when both the professional and the organisation have chosen to show it. Both settings are off by default, because some professionals prefer to be known for their own work.
You also see their Career Passport: the levels and badges they have earned from approved work. These follow a professional across the whole Internetivo network, so a track record built on one project counts on the next. Levels are recognition only. They never change what a professional is paid or what you pay.
A ranking built from finished work, not reviews
You will not find user reviews on Internetivo. We chose a ranking instead, because it measures what was delivered rather than how a single exchange felt, and it moves with a professional's current work.
The ranking is built from what actually happened on real projects, in six parts:
- Delivery: approved tasks and on-time delivery.
- Paid track record: paid tasks where the money reached the professional.
- Quality: work approved without revisions, and clients who come back.
- Responsiveness: how quickly they first reply in a project's conversation.
- Integrity: no lost disputes, warnings or chargebacks.
- Contribution: referrals that led to paid work, accepted suggestions and valid bug reports.
Recent work counts for more than old work, so the ranking reflects how someone is doing now, not what happened three years ago. Logins, streaks and XP never count towards it. A professional only gets a public ranking position after five approved and paid tasks from at least two different clients, so a handful of quick jobs for one friend cannot buy a place.
The ranking is shown openly, and it never affects fees or payouts. A highly ranked professional is easier for you to find. They do not get paid a different share for it.
Rank badges appear only after a completed task. Nobody can sign up on a Monday and look like a veteran by Tuesday.
Identity checks at the moment money moves
The strictest checks happen where they matter most: when a professional is paid.
To receive a payout, a professional must use a bank account in their own name. Each time they add a new account, the name on the account is checked against the name on their profile. At their first payout, they add a photo of their ID once. A person at Internetivo checks their name and date of birth and records only the result: the date of birth itself is not stored, and the photo is deleted as soon as it has been checked.
Our Terms require every member who is paid to be 18 or over, and this is where that rule is enforced. If the name does not match, or the member is under 18, the payout is held and a member of our team decides what happens next. Nothing is decided by an algorithm alone.
Why at payout and not at sign-up? Because it puts the check where it actually protects you. Anyone can create an account in a minute. Nobody can be paid by Internetivo without being a real, named adult with a bank account in their own name.
Conversations start after you hire
There is no messaging before hiring. You compare proposals, profiles, rankings and Career Passports, and you choose. Chat opens once someone is hired.
This keeps the process fair for professionals, who are not pressured into unpaid consulting before anyone has committed. It keeps it calm for you, because your inbox does not fill with pitches. And it keeps the whole conversation about a project in one place, on the record, next to the milestones and the invoices. If a question ever comes up about what was agreed, the answer is there.
What we do not claim
We would rather be clear than impressive.
Our checks confirm who a professional is and how they have performed on Internetivo. They do not replace your own judgement about whether someone's style or approach suits your project. That is why we show you profiles and track records rather than a single score, and why you choose the team, not us.
We also do not promise a match within a fixed number of hours. Good matches depend on the task, the budget and who is available, and we would rather you wait a little for the right person than rush into the wrong one.
What we do promise is structural. You buy the work from Internetivo, a registered Cypriot company that has been working with clients since 2010. Professionals are paid only after you approve each milestone. And if something goes wrong, a person at Internetivo reviews it before anyone is paid. The checks above help you choose well. That structure is what protects you if, despite everyone's best efforts, a project does not go to plan.
If you are a professional reading this, the short version is: do good work, deliver on time, and the ranking takes care of itself. If you are a client, post your task and see who applies.
