Getting paid on Internetivo

When you work on Internetivo, the client buys the work from Internetivo, and Internetivo pays you for the work the client approves. This guide covers the whole path, from setting up your profile to seeing the money arrive in your bank account.

The path from a new profile to money in your bank account.

Set up your profile

Your profile is what clients look at when they compare proposals. Clients compare profiles, rankings and Career Passports. There are no user reviews on Internetivo. A ranking takes their place, and it never touches what you are paid.

Clients see you by your first name. Your organisation is shown only when the opt-ins on your side allow it, and both opt-ins are off by default. Clients never see your e-mail address from a proposal.

Find paid tasks on the Market

The Market lists paid, open tasks only. A task appears there once the client has paid for it and while nobody has been hired for it yet. So every task you see is funded before you spend time on a proposal.

On a task you can Apply, or, when the client accepts proposals, choose Submit a proposal. A proposal has four parts:

  • your price, in euros;
  • the hours you estimate;
  • a pitch of at least 20 characters: your approach, your experience and your timeline;
  • a portfolio link, if you want to add one.

The client can accept, decline or counter with a different price. Messaging starts once you are hired, inside the project.

Deliver a milestone

When you start, choose Mark In Progress. When the work is ready, choose Mark Completed to deliver it. The task then shows the date of its automatic approval.

The client has seven days to review. We remind them on day 3 and day 6. They can approve, request a revision or open a dispute. If they request a revision, you can accept it and deliver again, or decline it. If they do not answer, the milestone is approved automatically on day 7, unless a revision was requested or a dispute is open.

Your Payouts page

Once a milestone is approved and the client's payment has been received, your share appears on your Payouts page. It shows three separate figures, and only one of them can be paid out:

  • Earnings clearing. Approved earnings in their clearing period. The page shows the date each amount becomes ready to pay out.
  • Ready to pay out. Earnings you can request now. This is the only figure a payout draws on.
  • Payout history. Every payout you have requested, with its status.

Request payout

The first time, choose Add your payout account and add a bank account in your own name. Then, once Ready to pay out has reached the €50 minimum, enter the amount, up to your Ready to pay out balance, choose how to send it, and choose Request payout.

  • Bank transfer (SEPA) goes by SEPA Instant. Once sent, it usually arrives within minutes.
  • International transfer (SWIFT) is for banks outside the SEPA area.

Payouts go by bank transfer only. Before the request goes through, you confirm it is you, with a passkey or an approval in the app. If you confirm with a code from your authenticator app instead, that payout waits 72 hours.

Our team then approves every payout before it is sent, and your payout history shows each step: requested, approved, paid. If a payout is turned down, the amount goes back to Ready to pay out.

The checks, and why they are there

A few checks protect you and everyone you work with. Most of them happen once.

CheckWhen it happens

Our team approves the payoutA person looks at every payout before it is sentEvery payout.

You must be 18 or older to be paid, as our Terms require. If a name does not match, or a check cannot be completed, the payout waits and a member of our team decides: approve it, ask for another document, or cancel the payout, in which case the amount goes back to Ready to pay out.

Your share: 85%, and never less

You receive at least 85% of the price of every milestone, including the last one. The client sees how the price is shared before they accept your proposal, so there are no surprises on either side.

An example: Nikos and a set of illustrations

Here is a fictional example. Nikos is an illustrator. On the Market he finds a paid task: six illustrations for a children's website, priced at €300. He submits a proposal with his price, an estimate of 12 hours and a pitch with links to similar work. The client accepts.

How the €300 in the example is shared.

Nikos delivers the illustrations and the client approves them two days later. His €255 appears under Earnings clearing, with the date it becomes ready. On that date it moves to Ready to pay out. Because this is his first payout, he adds his bank account in his own name and a photo of his ID. He chooses Bank transfer (SEPA) and Request payout. Our team checks the ID, deletes the photo, and approves the payout. Once it is sent, the money usually reaches his bank within minutes.
