There’s no doubt that the internet has changed our lives in countless positive ways, but it’s not an unmixed blessing. Since our privacy might have been lost(?), it may leave us at risk for shady individuals, companies, and security agencies. If you don’t know this, know it now, there is no such thing as complete security.
No matter who you are or where you are in the world, there are some things you can do – many of which are simple – to protect yourself in this tumultuous time.
Today we are sharing some tips with you to secure your online data, and us too!
Use HTTPS
Encrypt your data
Use a safe WiFi environment
Use two-factor authentication (2FA)
Backup your devices and your data too
Ensure your device is up to date or enable automatic updates
Set a strong password, set a strong password, set a strong password
Don't fall for the Bitcoin trend - Buy if you only know what you are doing
Start using a digital vault - it's kinda risky but most of the time it's safer than your sticky note
Make sure your antivirus software is up to date even if you believe that there are no viruses on your system
Limit and protect personal information on social media - Especially your kids' data - Even Rambo should be careful :)
Please, please don't buy the super cheap deal you found on Facebook - It would not probably be so cheap if you provide your credit card number, your address, and more personal data or even sensitive
Did we mention backup?
